Friesian Sport Horses

Friesian horses are a breed of stately horses. They were sought by kings to carry their cavalry into battle. Their height enabled the rider to tower over the infantry, and their strength supported heavy loads.
Today's Friesians are still an esteemed breed. They are characteristically black, having a long, flowing mane. The Friesians are well-represented in pleasure riding and dressage competitions.
